How much material do I need to provide for a tailored suit?

ATL Tailor can use your provided fabric for a tailored suit. This opens a world of possibilities for how you can add a personal touch to the garment you’ll wear.

Maybe you found some fabric you love in the market in Marrakesh during your vacation? We can use that. Or maybe you want us to repurpose the fabric from your father’s wedding tuxedo? Not a problem.

If you want to use your own fabric, though, you need to know exactly how much you’ll need to provide for the type of garment you want. Below is a list that will let you in on how much we’ll need for a suit, a vest, a pair of pants, or a shirt.

The table will list measurements in yards. Those measurements refer to yards on the bolt of fabric you buy from; you don’t need to worry about width. And if you’re outside the US buying fabric, better to ask for it in the metric amount (which we’ve also specified) instead.

Remember, it’s always better to err on the side of caution and get too much than to get too little and find out once you get into our shop in Buckhead that you don’t have enough. Happy shopping!
