Trend 1: Pastel Colors
Black, grey, or navy suits are still best for wearing to the office, but earthy, pastel shades of more “exciting” colors like pink, orange, or green are in style for more casual occasions this year. Whatever hue you choose should not be too bright, but instead be a shade that you might deem acceptable (albeit unconventional) for a paint color in someone’s living room.
For extra fashion points, wear slightly different shades of the same color on your suit’s pants, jacket, and tie.

Trend 2: “Oversized” Suits
Traditional men’s suit fashion dictates that the suit should cling as tightly as possible to the body, but that’s changed in 2024… kind of. Many men are beginning to prefer a more relaxed-looking fit that may give off the appearance of an oversized suit.
The trick is, the suit shouldn’t actually be oversized or it will look bad. Instead, the inner layer of the suit should fit correctly while the outer layer just has excess material so it looks bigger to the casual viewer. It’s a feat that takes an experienced tailor to pull off, and it’s in style now.
Trend 3: Knit Shirts
Leaving a suit jacket open and wearing something other than a collared dress shirt under it drastically changes the look of the entire ensemble, and that more relaxed look is all the rage in 2024. More specifically, wearing a knit garment like a chunky fleece, an argyle sweater, or a striped wool tee-shirt is 2024 chic.
Trend 4: Double-Breasted Suits
Double-breasted suits have always been one of the classiest-looking suit styles out there, but they haven’t been good as a casual choice in a long time because they look a bit stuffy.
Recently, however, the fashionista machine has cast its eyes upon double-breasted suits once again and set about making it more friendly towards smart casual dressers. The result is a new style of double-breasted suit that is a bit wider, looser, and all-around more comfortable than double-breasted suits from the past. It’s also one of the most stylish suits to wear as we close out 2024.
Trend 5: Bold Prints
Suits have traditionally come in either a solid color or a very lightly patterned one. In 2024, it’s become stylish to adorn a suit with a more vivacious print like camo, animal print, or tartan. You don’t want to go over-the-top with a downright garish pattern like money-print or scans of your own face, but try to push your own boundaries with the pattern for your 2024 holiday suit choice.
